Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Question

i have iphone 3g firmware 4.1. recently it was stuck on apple logo. when i done restore idevice it want to connect to itunes. when i connect to itunes it say my sim card does not support. now it stuck to connect to itunes. how to solved it please help me. it is my friend phone. he dont know anything about iphone. when he gave to me his iphone were stuck on apple logo. i dont know his phone are sim lock. so i just restore it to 4.1. after restoring the itunes say that the sim card was not supported. so i need you guy help me how to solved it. thank you.

If it's already using the official carrier SIM, you might consider calling the carrier and asking them why it's not working.

You can jailbreak it with redsn0w 0.9.6rc18 (Windows / Mac), which will hacktivate it, but it probably won't work with the current SIM anyway if it's not getting activated properly.
