How to fix some mysterious problems.

Long story short my external hard drive screwed up awhile back so my music is only on my itouch and not on my external drive anymore. Wondering if incase I need to restore the ipod for some reason while jailbreaking will it restore my ipod FULLY to factory settings a.k.a no music. or will it just restore the operating system or whatever and leave all my data on the itouch. huge thanks in advance for answers.

yes it would restore to factory settings.

are you jailbroken? if so download pwntunes (the trial is fine) plug your ipod into a computer and go to my computer and select your ipod. Inside one of the folders will be your music. copy it to your pc.

ya, if you would restore you would lose your music since you dont have the files on your computer any more. Theres many programs and ways to copy music from your ipod to your computer to back it up though, google copy music from ipod to computer.
