Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

How to jailbreak iOS 6.0-6.1.2 untethered on all iOS devices (and 6.1.3 tethered on older iOS devices).
Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4; do not upgrade/restore (if you want to keep your jailbreak). You cannot downgrade/upgrade/restore to 6.1.2 using SHSH blobs on newer devices; older devices that can use SHSH blobs are iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 4th gen. Learn more.

No. I updated and jailbroke my Verizon iPhone 4 last night and the battery is no different than iOS 5.0.1. Getting about 4-5 hours of usage, not good at all.

Try settings>general>reset>reset all settings. You don't lose any data, photos, contacts or anything. Just need to put the wifi password in again. Afterwards make sure you don't enable apple's diagnostics.

What does resetting settings do anything about battery? I'm using 5.0.1 right now, and I'm planning to "restore" to 5.1 without backup.

because it's very likely you are carrying over battery hogging settings over from however long you have been using an iPhone, possibly since iOS 3 or prior..

Nope, it seems same as usual, sadly. I was really hoping it would improve :(

Still good battery life here, on par with iOS 5.0.1 while 5.0.1 and 5.1 are a tiny bit better than 5.0. Never had any drain issue still.

Little to no difference on a CDMA iPhone 4 and iPad 1.
