Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Question

I have an iphone 3gs that i'm about to bring to the apple store -

how do i remove it's jailbreak now that ios 5.1 is out and 5.0.1 isnt being signed - without upgrading to 5.1?

i do have my 5.0.1 blob saved with iFaith.

i read the faq, but assumed that redsn0w was going to process the jailbreak/cydia into the ipsw that it created..

No, Only sn0wbreeze can embed a Jailbreak into a signeed IPSW.
