i have an ipad 1 jailbroken on ios 5.0.1, in settings there is the option to upddate directly from ipad. although no updates are curently avaiable will updating directly from ipad delete cydia, tweaks, etc.? |

You cannot update directly from a jailbroken iPad. Delta updates don't work once jailbroken. You will have to restore the the latest version and then jailbreak. |
Yes if you update when 5.1 is released your jailbreak will dissapear and you will have to wait till the next Jailbreak exploit is out...
@justinred: why close the question?? I for one would like to have my questions answered before its needed.(as I'm sure OP does) And especially before 5.1 drops and this place goes to hell.
Couldn't wait a few hours until 5.1 is out? All is pure speculation until then.
I think it would be nice to know beforehand.
[Delta] updates are pure speculation? 5.0- 5.0.1 was real. I just dont think 'it's not time yet' is a valid reason to close it. Especially when it could be only a matter of hours
Since we are into speculations, well I say that your idevice will blow up once you do 5.1 ota update. :)
;P
Ooo because that happened with the 5.0.1 OTA?.... Makes sense.
Curly420. We all know about 5.0 to 5.0.1 ota update, OP is askin 5.0.1 to 5.1, which we have no way of knowing how it is gonna be until it is out.
Theyre different numbers. It's the same thing though. You still can't update OTA on a jailbroken device.. That won't change in hours.
You can be wrong. And how can yoube sure that 5.0.1 to 5.1 is ota?
You guys mind arguing in IRC? :P we can all join in. I don't think the op even cares now.
Considering 5.x "cut the cord" for idevices (wireless syncing backups and updates) Its a very strong logically based answer
That didn't happen in 9A405 to 9A406.
@justinred I think your bouncer's all messed up. "Guest xxx"
5.0.1 to 5.0.1? I wonder why. And I'm pretty sure 406 was pushed ota to the devices that needed it. The ones affected by the signal issues
@CaughtInFlux Heh. Am in bed and I hate irc on the iPad. Off to dreamland. Catch you later. :)
