Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

iOS 8.3, 8.2, and iOS 8.1.3 are not jailbreakable. There is no way to downgrade from iOS 8.3, 8.2, or 8.1.3 to earlier versions.

How to fix some mysterious problems.

hi, so i was using redsn0w and saw that if you press the jailbreak button, to jailbreak and install cydia, after loading it, you can check an option to deactivate, what would happened if i checked it the deactivate? Would my jailbroken iphone 3gs go back to factory settings?

selecting deactivate, as the option implies, will deactivate your device, meaning it would boot with the Connect to iTunes (iOS 4.x) or welcome screen (iOS 5) needing activation via original and/or official carrier SIM. As with all jailbreaks, activation via correct SIM card is always suggested prior to running a jailbreak.
