How to fix some mysterious problems.

Okay, So I was on Cydia and I installed SBSettings. I had separate list on, but then the next day it wasn't working at all. Like it wasn't in separate or the actual notification centre. I respringed and it was back to normal except it wasn't in a separate list? Yes, it is turned on in Notifications. Yes 'Separate List' is turned on in SBSettings. I tried turning off and on, rebooting, respringing, etc. What happened, and how do I fix it?

Try uninstalling then reinstalling sbsettings. Also, there was an update to sbsettings toggles today.

Didn't work :( Any other suggestions? And by the way, I know it wasn't because of the update because this happened yesterday, I just posted today....

Any other suggestions?

Um, nevermind. It's fixed. What I did was, after re-installing it, I made sure it was upgraded, then went to settings turned off seperate list, turned it back on, and restarted springboard. Then my seperate list worked :)

Glad you got it working. FYI, I wasn't suggesting that the update was the culprit, but possibly part of the solution. :P

What is BBSettings??

It's an alternative to SBSettings by pwndevteam. Add to Cydia sources. ;)

I've heard of pawn, or pwn many times here before. What's it mean? And thanks, I added it. :)

Thanks Britta. And @iphpwn4 How can I use BBSettings? I installed it, using the source you gave me. But when I installed it, it said the files were saved to /private? And theres no new icon, or a place in settings, so I don't know how to change/add anything let alone be able to use it?

(19 Feb '12, 03:54) HeyMe HeyMe's gravatar image

Not sure mate. I use SBSettings. Maybe @mathieuvp can advise?

(19 Feb '12, 04:40) iphpwn4 ♦ iphpwn4's gravatar image

I'm not an expert, but for BB settings I also installed it from the repo iphpwn4 gave you, after installing there was an icon (2big red B's)and also in settings, there you have the choise of showing the icon or don't. I have no idea why it isn't there and normaly after installing anything it shoud end with 'installed xx' in this case 'installed BBsettings'. delete the package and redownload it. one tip I can give you if it is working; check 'update everytime..'

@mathieuvp, it didn't need updating I think, because even when I refreshed it didn't say anything needed an update. Anyway, I did what you said and re-installed it. It didn't work. Any other suggestions? Also I believe the reason it didn't work is because it said the files were saved to /private.
