Hello, please can I ask for help getting from 5.0.1. back to 4.3.3. jailbroken (ipod touch 4g) ... desperate, tried google/everything for ages ... iOS 5.0.1. won't run some apps that I love, don't have wifi anyway, and totally regret trying it ... umpteen times tried shift-restore, editing hosts file, tiny umbrella, everything ... totally confused and upset. Redsnow has the 4.3.3. blobs available online, but I can't work out how to bypass itunes, get back to jb 4.3.3. Would appreciate help completely. Thanks, Cat |

1)open tinyumbrella click on request shsh from cydia , then click on save shsh files . 2) go to advanced tab tick set host to cydia on exit 3) start tts server 4) run itunes (put it to dfu) shift+restore and choiche 4.3.3 file 5) let it restore download 4.3.3 from here Thanks so much for answering so quickly kralle ... tinyumbrella worked fine ... used redsnow to put into dfu but got same error (3014). Read this: http://jailbreakqa.com/questions/32462/frequently-asked-questions#51444 But You NEED SHSH's for 4.3.3 thank you very much ... itunes error 3014 ... went into tinyumbrella and had to 'fix recovery' ... now have a big black page showing, with 5.10.06 in the title bar. Ipod still at 5.0.1. do you see the shsh files in tinyumbrella yes, I can see the 4.3.3. files in the window tinyumbrella shows 4.3.3. blobs in window still getting error 3014 when try to get itunes to install 4.3.3. apple page says ... a post somewhere on this site where guy had put redsnow and 4.3.3 ipsw into c:root folder called rainsnow [then I added in old blobs found had from end of last year, saved on external] ... he said to right click and run redsnow in vista sp1 compatability and disable visual themes and then run redsnow as administrator ... did that and stitched 4.3.3 ipsw and old blobs ... itunes put ipod to 4.3.3 and then did normal jb using 4.3.3 original ipsw! |
