How to fix some mysterious problems.

So far I've done both my iPhone 4's, two more at work and a couple iPads all show slower speeds in the UI that make the feel more sluggish. Holding down an app to make them jiggle takes a few more seconds to start, I've held down my finger and then let to to see the screen frozen for at least 3-5 seconds before movement on the screen.

Anyone seeing this or is this all in my head?

iPhones mostly were on previous iOS with redsn0w JB, upgraded to 4.2.1 then GP. One was also restored before JB and one on stock 4.2.1. iPad was on 4.2.1 untethered JB.

Got that too. About battery drain, saw a pod2g tweet saying it can't be gp, must be from some cydia app. (feel skeptical about that 'cause i ain't got any new cydia package).

sorry but I agree with pod2g - my iphone 4 is just as fast if not a little faster and the battery life is slightly better since I overrode my untethered 4.2.1 JB with the GP JB. try rebooting a couple of times to settle the FW back in because I've heard it can be a bit touchy the first couple of times after an upgrade (similar to PCs).

can just agree with esperai, battery just drains when you install tweaks like sbrotator or gravity, before battery was same as before.

Cheers for the comments everyone. I'll try removing some Cydia apps that aren't needed and see how things go for a while. Then restore and all the usual to troubleshooting if that didn't help.

I've found the same thing on my iPad and iPod touch 3g - it would be nice to find out what is causing the slowness. I know its not folder enhancer - I noticed the slowness before that was installed. My ipod touch 2g, still jb from a while ago 3.?? seems to work alot faster.

In sbsettings, I went into safe mode (disabling MobileSubstrate) and the icon wiggle went back to normal.
