How to fix some mysterious problems.

I have a factory unlocked 3GS currently jailbroken with Limera1n running 4.1 with firmware 05.14.02 model MC133AB (don't know what bootloader I have in the 3GS). Since it's factory unlocked I only worry about if I can jailbreak the next version. Would it be to my advantage to use Pwnagetool or any other that keeps my firmware at 05.14.02 or can I just upgrade with iTunes and then use any of the available to jailbreak? Do I even have to worry about my firmware in the future?

If it's factory unlocked you don't have to worry about the baseband. Upgrade as you wish.

So based on the history of jailbreaks up to now, the future jailbreaks won't take into consideration the baseband? I only have to worry about baseband for unlocks?
