Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Question

I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.2.1, not currently jailbroken or modified in any ways, straight factory defaults. I have downloaded this jailbreak tool, and I follow all the steps successfully up to where it says "Jailbreak now".

When I click on that, the progress bar stands still for a few seconds, and then says "Jailbreaking Failed"

I do have an active internet connection, I have no Firewall.

0	Are you using Windows or MAC? If you have win7, try running the application as Administrator and try again If possible, try installing 4.2.1 again. Starting fresh may help :) link answered 07 Feb '11, 08:06 diezelglax 81●2●6
