I'm running a jailbroken GSM iPad 2.
Intermittently, it gets stuck at the lockscreen. When the screen turns off (either from a power button press, or from timing out), pushing home or power brings me to the lockscreen. Here, I can see the "Slide to unlock" text. It even shimmers like it's supposed to. Double tapping the home button shows the iPod controls. Triple tapping inverts the colours. Holding the power button gives me the "Slide to power off" slider, and the cancel button. However, the slide to unlock "button" refuses to move. Same with the "Slide to power off". Also, I can't push the cancel button. I've tried in all four screen orientations.
Sometimes waiting a few minutes at the lockscreen, letting the screen turn off, pushing the home button, and repeating, allows me to use the "slide to unlock" slider properly.
Doing a forced restart (holding home + power) always works, and then the device works fine again until the next time it decides to get stuck at the lockscreen.
I reformatted just a few days ago and only have the following non-stock packages installed:
If anyone has any idea what might be causing this, I'd love to hear it!
When I set SBSsettings drop down menu to open by use of a physical button, I can get it to open at the lockscreen. Unfortunately, I can't interact with it at all. It appears that I'm totally locked out of the touchscreen.
However, if I set Activator to unlock the screen with a physical button, it does so and life goes on normally -- everything works fine.
Since you have SBSettings, open it at the lockscreen, select power, and select safe mode. If that fixes it, you have a tweak causing the issue and should remove the most recent one you got from Cydia.

Go to settings/activator and reset settings. Dont set anything in activator and monitor if problem occurs again to rule out if activator is at fault.
