my ipodtouch 4th gen is 4.2.1. and i guess i need it to be a 4.3.3 to jailbreak it? so how do i do that? |

You can jailbreak as it is on 4.2.1 using either Greenpois0n rc6.1 or Redsn0w 0.9.6rc18, but the latter is a far better tool, if you want to go to 4.3.3 and use jailbreakme, then you will need to have 4.3.3 shsh's, do you have those? You will be asked to browse to (select) a copy of the relevant 4.2.1 firmware, you may already have a copy on your computer, check the FAQ for it's location for your OS, if your on OSX Lion then the 'Library' folder is now hidden. If you don't have a copy of the 4.2.1 firmware then you can get a copy from here |
