what is it? can you just install it after jailbreaking from jailbreakme.com? the baseband is 05.15.04 |

Okay, as you have a higher baseband...the only way to achieve an unlock is to install the iPad baseband & then install ultrasn0w the iPad baseband has alot of CONSEQUENCES, read them here (you lose GPS, etc, etc) In order to install the iPad baseband, you need your 4.3.3 IPSW + redsn0w 0.9.6rc18 Guide:
But if you have any of those basebands then why would you need jaibreakme baseband preservation mode -- 99% chance. lol Baseband preservation mode is pre jailbroken nope, there's three modes -- Simple, Expert & Baseband preserve only... That's pointless, so people are gonna use baseband preserve only and then use jailbreakme? 1% chance.. 1
whats the point of that, does baseband preserve only option require restoring to custom ipsw?...the 1% I was referring to was an iphone4 it's just like a custom one. (you need pwned DFU etc) so why not just use simple/expert mode and job done I would do that, don't know what's running in OP's mind. not alot |

But it isn't gonna do anything for you, if you've used jailbreakme then your baseband is 99% not unlockable You have to be on 4.3.x to use jailbreakme, so to get there you've either used baseband preservation firmware, in which case you're already jailbroken, or you're on stock firmware, in which case your baseband isn't unlockable.............the only exception to all this is an iphone 4 updated/restored using TinyUmbrella |
On your phone, go to Settings>General>About>Modem software and tell us what it says.
i added the baseband
do you rely on a carrier unlock?
