Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

evasi0n7 can jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 untethered. p0sixspwn can jailbreak iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5 untethered (see here for 6.1.6).
How to jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 (and fix problems). iOS 7.1 is not jailbreakable, except an unsupported tethered iPhone 4 jailbreak.
Restoring or updating will update your device to iOS 7.1 and remove your jailbreak. There is no way to downgrade from iOS 7.1 to 7.0.x.

i dont think that has anything to do with safe mode. if it doesnt even get to the lockscreen safe mode will be no help. did you install anything obvious before it wouldnt boot? or would it not boot at all

it worked after respring for a few days, then, this morning i got a black screen when i unlocked it (unresponsive). i did a hard restart (home and power button). now, its stuck with the boot logo (for the past 7 hours) and the rotating circle (with the circle sometimes stopping every 3-5 minutes for about one minute

If you have SBSettings, yes. Just tap power and choose safe mode.
