Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Question

Verizon iPhone 4 CDMA v4.2.6 jailbroken via redsn0w RC16 on a PC.

Cydia will not function properly. I open it and all of my sources/packages are gone! Worst part is I do not even know when this happened, like after what I installed. And I cannot uninstall anything because it says nothing is there. As soon as I open Cydia even after a reboot or respring I get the above message. I do not even have the android boot loader crap its talking about installed, but I do have the [piracy redacted] repo. If I could delete anything I would but I can't. Please help.

Somebody broke their repo and it broke Cydia. I hope you have a way to get to the file system such as WinSCP or iFile.

Go to /private/var/lib/apt/lists - find and delete the files from the offending repo (probably two of them). Edit /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list - delete the line(s) referencing the offending repo.

Then reboot the phone and it should be fine.

I'm sure there is a metadata.plist that also has to be edited or the url's will just repopulate, OP, lesson learned, leave s****l well alone

Ummm so apparently the entire site was messed up as of a few hours ago and is just being fixed, but I tried your method and it worked to a t, thx a lot.
