Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

iOS 9 and 8.4.1 do not have jailbreaks. You can use Cydia Impactor if you need to un-jailbreak an 8.1-8.4 device without restoring.
TaiG provides an iOS 8.4 and 8.3 untethered jailbreak. Check @taig_jailbreak, @saurik, and /r/jailbreak for news and updates.

How to fix some mysterious problems.

Is there something I can install to make my iphone text with the "Ford Sync" system? Ford Sync requires the phone/device to send SMS messages via bluetooth; this is a feature that the iPhone does not currently support. I have Celeste Bluetooth file transfer (yes, I bought it), but I can't seem to get it to work. Will Celeste even sync with the Ford? If not, is there anything else that will work?

Apple iPhones don't used the MAP protocol that would allow voice-to-text messaging through Sync. Currently, if you have a iPhone 4S with Siri, you can push the main button on the iPhone 4S, it will open Siri, Then you can ask Siri to read and/or send texts. Some Droid phones (Motorola and HTC) and some Blackberry will handle the text-to-voice messaging on Sync. With that, you would push the Sync voice button and ask it to "Read text meesage." The Ford system has a new template e-mails that you can "send" ("Running late, be there in 10 minutes, etc." So you can't just speak a text message and have it sent, you have to select from the pre-made ones and send those.

If your phone can't pair with your car I don't think you're in luck. Make sure your car is in pairing mode and search for it in settings>general>bluetooth. It shouldn't require Celeste since it should just see it as an audio device.

Sorry, maybe I was unclear. The phone can pair with the car, no problem. I want a jailbreak tweak that enables the iphone to transmit SMS via bluetooth. Currently, the iphone cannot do this. Does anything like this exist? For example, I have Celeste, will this work?

You can't text "hands-free" anyway, so what would be the point?

the point would be for the vehicle to read texts aloud, and to send text via voice... which is a feature the fiesta has built in to the sync system.

LOL, why not make a phone call?

you're just a debby downer now aren't you! I'm just wondering if there is anything that can make the iphone do what other phones can already do... I dunno why ford decided to make it an option to text via voice, sometimes it's easier and more convenient?

It would certainly be safer, that's probably why they offer it. :P
