Hi all, I have two iPhone 4 that never be jailbroken before (I dont have any shsh file saved). Yesterday, I was trying to use latest PWNage tool to build a custom 4.3.3 firmware to restore but the iTunes doesn't let me to do this. Every time I restore using custom firmware it pop up error 21. Does everyone know how to solve this problem please help me. I'm a Mac user thou. Thanks in advance! |

Why are you using Pwnage?, got something worth preserving?, if not just update to stock 4.3.3 and then jailbreak with Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16 Have you tried using 4.3.3 shsh's stored locally and running the TSS server in TinyUmbrella, and alt/restoring to the custom ipsw in pwned dfu?, see if that gets you past the error. I uses Pwnage to prevent baseband update cos rite now mine is at firmware 4.1 and baseband 02.xxx 1
I don't see any reason to preserve that, but you can if you want. Get TinyUmbrella 4.33.00, run it, choose your phone on the left, choose the "Advanced" tab, un-check "Request SHSH from cydia," click "Apply changes," click "Save SHSH." Click "Start TSS Server," make sure it's actually running (no error messages), then leave it running and open iTunes. You can restore to stock 4.3.3 (or any iOS you have SHSH's for), TU will preserve your baseband. hi spockers, ive not restored to a lower FW on anything other than 3g phones, question---why do we un-check "request SHSH from cydia" is that just to preserve the baseband in this case or would you do that any time you restore to a lower firmware that you have shsh saved? If so what is the option for in the first place? 1
It's because you're restoring to the current (4.3.3) firmware, and I don't know if cydia has your 4.3.3 SHSH's. I know Apple does, though, so that's why, and what the option is for. If you were downgrading to an earlier version, and cydia had your SHSH's, you'd leave that box checked. ok, that makes sense, thanks. |
