Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Pangu provides an iOS 9.0 untethered jailbreak. TaiG provides an iOS 8.4 and 8.3 untethered jailbreak.

You can use Cydia Impactor if you need to un-jailbreak an 8.1-8.4 device without restoring.

How to fix some mysterious problems.

so im using redsn0w and have two problems: 1. when i go to the task manager under procceses and press set affinity, it doesnt let me. it says "the operation could not be completed. access is denied." 2. when i browse for my current firmware, i cant find anything in my computer as a (*.ipsw) file i even downloaded one from ,the one for iPod Touch 3G (4.3.2/8H7)

i need advice.

  • You must be logged into Windows as an administrator in order to set affinity. It may be possible to run taskmgr.exe as administrator if you don't want to login to Windows as administrator, but you'll have to locate taskmgr.exe in order to right-click it to run as administrator.

  • Open "My Computer" or any hard drive or folder. From the top menu, choose Tools>Folder options, go to the "View" tab and un-check "Hide extensions for known file types." Click OK. Now browse to your downloaded firmware, which will undoubtedly end with ".zip" and change it to .ipsw and you should be good to go.

  • If you don't have "Tools" or any menu at the top, click the "Organize" button, go to "Layout" and check "Menu Bar." Proceed as above.
