How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hello folks,

I have just bought two iPhone 6s one for my wife 16GB and one for my self 64GB (brand new phones activated myself) while playing with the phones I came across this weird bug on my phone I have set the volume slider to max (from the control center) and from the settings > Sounds option now here is the issue, the volume is perfect during calls, in apps and while playing music or watching videos but the volume for Keyboard clicks, lock sound, and dialpad sound is EXTREMELY low...I can barely hear the keyboard clicks no matter what I do...(Have restarted, factory reset and even restored my iPhone to the latest firmware 9.3.2) tried with no apps installed (just to rule out any rogue app) Here is the funny part, I just checked my wife's iPhone (also running 9.3.2) and hers is exactly the same....However my brother's 5s running iOS 7 is just perfect (keyboard clicks are very audible). This is not my first iPhone I have owned every iPhone since 3gs I am pretty sure its not a hardware thing and Yes, the phones don't have any cases or protectors or plastics on them. I was able to find out that its not a hardware issue because there is workaround which temporarily fixes the issue here is how I do it 1) On the home screen turn volume to max using volume sliders, now bring up the control center and make sure the volume is set to max 2) Go to settings >Sounds > Turn on or turn off keyboard click sound a few times just to get the idea of volume coming out. Now without going to any other settings just scroll up the settings page and turn volume slider to maximum (even if it is already maxed out just do it once more its very important) now scroll down and turn on or turn off Keyboard click or Lock sound you will notice a massive difference , It will be MUCH louder if you switch the toggle....but thats about it if you open any other settings or leave that settings page even for a second...the volume will again be mushy and almost inaudible. Please try it out on your devices and let me know if you are experiencing the same issue. Such a shame I paid $1500 for these phones.

  1. Money doesnt buy perfection and no hardware or software will ever be perfect.
  2. Not jailbreak related, at all
