How to fix some mysterious problems.

Apparently iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G can still save fresh 4.1 SHSH blobs and restore to that version on iTunes. iOS 4.1 is very old/outdated and almost no apps still support that version, even the built-in YouTube app doesn't work anymore. I wonder why Apple does that.

The consensus seems to be that it's for 3g/3gs baseband issues, a "way out" for people who flashed the iPad baseband to their phones.

apple could close it tho. If they wanted to publicly say downgrade that ipad baseband. With redsn0w.

Think cows would jump over the moon before apple would do/say that tho ;)

I now know why apple would allow 4.1for iPhone. What about iPod touch 2,3G? Those devices do not have basebands.

Neither does the iPod Touch 4, but they don't sign it for that, nor do they for the iPhone 4. It's probably all just to mess with us. :D
