How to fix some mysterious problems.

iPhone 5s ios8.4: I ran into some problems with my music app and ended up just completely restoring my iPhone currently I have nothing installed besides cydia and Apple File Conduit "2", no extra apps or tweaks. All I want is to have my pictures, messages, and notes transferred onto my phone the music, contacts and other app data I am not worried about. I have iFunbox so I can view the raw file system on my computer and I have a previous backup in itunes. Not sure what folders contain what information and not sure how to obtain folders from an old backup. Please help thanks

Something like iBackupBot (google it) should do the trick.

Or you can restore the backup, pull db files, restore firmware, set up as new, jailbreak and drop back in files. Make sure file permissions are correct.

Update: I tried replacing the file sms.db located within Var>Mobile>Library>SMS but it didn't do anything so then I replaced the entire sms folder because it contains a few more files and i thought maybe the sms.db alone isnt everything. But still nothing changed. Please help

See here for documentation. shm and wal files may need to be deleted and device rebooted for those to rebuild.

Well I am not really too knowledgeable with these files so do you think i should do it or no?

So I know it's not the BEST solution, and I don't know if it's allowed, but http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com is what I use to do anything backup related. If someone else has a better idea, I'd recommend going with it instead, but this will work too.

Thank you! Can I ask why you feel like this isn't the best solution?

I feel as though the fact that it is a paid solution turns people off of the idea slightly. However, paying for it is well worth it.
