How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hello! I have a iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.2. The power botton of the device is broken. Because of some reason, i wanted to put my device into DFU mode. Giving a quick search on google, i found a way to do so with a tool, redsn0w. But, i have a question. When i restore my iPhone with the ipsw created from redsn0w, will it wipe all the data in the iPhone or not? My device is jailbroken, will i lose my jailbreak or not? One more thing, since my power botton is broken, it gets locked even by a very gentle touch. Is there any cydia tweek by which i can disable power botton? Help me! Thank you!!!

Of course you will lose all your data and jailbreak when you restore. That's what a restore is for. If you are trying to downgrade, DFU IPSW in redsn0w will not work for iOS 6.Just a heads up.

Also, it's spelled "button." That might help if you're doing any searches about it.

OMG!!! Are you sure that i will loose all of my data? Pleasw understand that i am not talking about restoring with a original ipsw! I am restoring my iPhone with a dfu ipsw created from redsn0w!

Yes, you will lose your data. This is what backups are for. Why do you need to put it in DFU anyway?
