Pangu provides an iOS 9.0 untethered jailbreak. TaiG provides an iOS 8.4 and 8.3 untethered jailbreak.
Check @PanguTeam, @taig_jailbreak, @saurik, and /r/jailbreak for news and updates.
You can use Cydia Impactor if you need to un-jailbreak an 8.1-8.4 device without restoring.

How to fix some mysterious problems.

So I haven't jailbroken my iPad mini yet (first gen, wifi iOS 8.4)
I had to wait until the new TaiG 2.4.1 came out and it delayed me because the slow download (then I used iGetter on windows to manually download it from a mirror link)
I got all prepared and as I was browsing around jail breaking tutorials, I saw many issues like getting stuck or failure
Then I stumbled upon this great solution to avoid all the errors
So, first you backup via iTunes, then restore. Once restored you actually don't do anything not even swiping the Holla/hello screen, just ignore the setup, keep device connected (turn airplane mode on and wifi off) and run TaiG. I saw many replies that it actually works and all of them had no error what so ever.
Can anyone confirm this? I don't want to get frustrated and stuck on the process, this may help others too who are experiencing stuck problems, thx in advance.

There's no sure fire way to ad out errors ever. Too many factors influence this. Just follow what tony said below and report any issues.

Ps don't post taig error codes they are as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

Here are the instructions that I, and a few other members of the community wrote:

  • Plug your device into your computer.
  • Open iTunes, click your device (in the sidebar or at the top-right if you have the sidebar disabled) choose "Back Up Now." If the jailbreak process fails, you can restore your data from this backup. Or you can do an iCloud backup if you prefer that.
  • If your device is locked with a passcode, you must temporarily disable it. Open the Settings app and navigate to Passcode. Enter your passcode, then tap "Turn Passcode Off."
  • If your device has Find my iPhone enabled, you must temporarily disable it. Open the Settings app and navigate to iCloud. Tap Find my iPhone, turn it off, and enter your Apple ID password.
  • Your iTunes backup password must also be disabled. In iTunes, click your device and then untick encrypt Local Backup. Enter your password, then allow iTunes to backup your device again. If this option is greyed out: On the device, open Settings, tap General, tap Profiles and remove all entries there.
  • Go to and download TaiG.
  • Close iTunes, then open the TaiG application. It is recommended to run the application as administrator.
  • Untick the second check box in the GUI.
  • Click the green button. This process will take a minute or two.
  • Wait for your device to reboot and then the jailbreak is completed. It's fine to enable a passcode/TouchID, Find My iPhone, and encrypted backup after jailbreaking if you want.
