How to fix some mysterious problems.

I have an jailbroken iPhone 5S running iOS 8.1.1 and had Cydia Installer 1.1.16 installed up until recently. Everything was running fine until recently I updated to Cydia Installer 1.1.19. Also some other packages were upgraded (Like Open SSH etc). After this when I did a respring, the phone went into safe mode. I tried to exit Safe Mode but everytime I press 'restart' from the 'Safe Mode' menu, the phone just restarts in Safe Mode again. I went to Cydia Installer 1.1.19's page in Cydia and saw that saurik is saying something about 'letting developers update their tweaks' if some tweaks don't work. Now here the phone is stuck in Safe Mode and i have a lot of tweaks installed. I wouldn't know which tweaks to install.

What's happening here and how do I salvage my jailbreak? The new iOS update is nice and all, but I would rather stay on 8.1.1 with all my tweaks functioning rather than upgrading. How do I fix this??

PS: I usually don't update the OS but just keep updating the Cydia packages, as these incremental upgrades to iOS don't mean much to me personally. When the various iOS updates rolled out after 8.1.1, I didn't upgrade because frankly I was content with the setup I had and the updates didn't bring anything important to me. (Yeah I know Apple watch support was added but I don't have one)

I would seriously recommend restoring to 8.4 and re-jailbreaking. I know what's not what you want to hear. If you want to stay on 8.1.1, start uninstalling tweaks one by one, rebooting after each, until you're no longer in safe mode.

You should always get the latest jailbreakable iOS. iOS 8.4 includes so many bug/security fixes that 8.1.1 doesn't.
