How to fix some mysterious problems.

Every time I try to select the 6.0.0 ipsw it says "this ipsw is not supported by this version of redsn0w fingerprint:6b3876fb8079fb76dea6c69b6f78da2a736d23de" Im using redsn0w version 0.9.15b3 I also tried using p0sixpwn and it keeps telling me I need iTunes installed. Obviously ive downloaded iTunes. (iTunes 12 to be exact). Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance

Assuming you're using 64-bit Windows, the solution is to install this specific iTunes version (it's the same version number as the current version but will fix the issue with p0sixspwn).

As for redsn0w, the ipsw is probably corrupt. Right-click the ipsw, click "proerties" and look at the file size. The size in bytes (not KB, not MB, not size on disk) should be 880,768,875 bytes if it's an iPod 4, and 818,338,725 bytes if it's an iPhone 3gs.

Took your advice about that specific version of iTunes and it worked flawlessly with p0sixspwn. Succesfully jailbroken. Thank you so much. I jailbroke with redsn0w and p0sixspwn before (the long way)and I never had trouble with it
