How to fix some mysterious problems.

I Jailbroke my iPhone 4 4.3.1 with redsn0w, and all of a sudden today my phone starts getting a random popup saying This accessory is not supported by this iPhone, getting rid of the ringer, rendering the ring and sounds useless. This happened also on my greenpois0n 4.2,1 JB, and I'm wondering, is this my phone or a glitch in the JB?

I'm confused, what's the accessory then?, what are you on about with the ringer

That's what I mean. Nothing is plugged into the phone, this just pops up every once in a while. I have only downloaded tweaks that I know work on 4.3.1, and these are the most popular tweaks (My3G, Sbsettings, etc)

Uh, I don't see that mentioned in this thread, but I can answer it: People don't read the README, they avoid it like the plague.

so true spockers :)

What would be really nice is if the makers of GP could put a routine in there that detects what version of iOS you're running, and advises accordingly. I'd think that would be fairly simple to add.

What's a pop port? Is that where you pour Dr. Pepper into the device? :P

(09 Apr '11, 17:05) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

If you've poured Dr. Pepper in the sync port, that would cause this error message and possibly much worse things.

lol. I think its called dock connector. I call any usb port (mobile side) pop port because I came from nokias.

Ahh I thought it was some bizarre typo ;)

Sorry for the late response. Pop ups went away after some cleaning. Thank you all for the support.

Don't you love putting some DrPepper in your USB. :P

I have a feeling you have a dirt data port that is causing the This accessory may not be supported error to pop up. Get a can of dust off and blow that hole!
