The AT&T logo packages from bigboss have been broken since 4.2, I have just figured out how to fix it and have also just started learning how to host my own repository, so I figured I would make the fixed package available for anyone who wants it.

To install, add my repository in Cydia: and then select the package AT&T Carrier Logo 4.2+.

And before anybody asks, I tried to contact the author through the official support channel, no response.

I'm not trying it as I'm not in the US, but I clicked on your link and it doesn't work

I had the wrong filename in there at first but the current link should work.

That link just opens a page full of code, what you supposed to do with that.

(05 Apr '11, 15:53) venusanann venusanann's gravatar image

ah, you must be using a browser that requires proper mime types, which I forgot to set, I've never hosted a deb file there before. I think it is fixed now.

No it's not, I still get a page of code using safari, does it work for you

(05 Apr '11, 16:00) venusanann venusanann's gravatar image

Works on Firefox.

Don't swear if you use safari then you can't download it

(05 Apr '11, 16:05) venusanann venusanann's gravatar image

Maybe right click and "save as" or whatever the equivalent safari command would be?

i've got a mime-type of application/x-deb, i'm pretty sure that is right.

Ok, 'saving linked file to downloads' seems to work, but aren't I supposed to be able to click on your link and get it downloaded that way

(05 Apr '11, 16:24) venusanann venusanann's gravatar image

Should be, yes. Obviously something is wonky, probably something I did.

(05 Apr '11, 16:27) Pepper ♦ Pepper's gravatar image

ok, figured out how to create a repository so I'm going to change the instructions.

Hey Pepper,

I have been trying to post this since last night, guess this site does not like Google Chrome.

I was able to load your repository and install both the AT&T carrier logo and 3G fireball on my 3g with 4.2.1 without an issue. The carrier logo installed after a respring, however the 3g fireball needed to be selected from Winterboard.

Glad I found this site, I was beginning to think either my phone was messed up or the jailbreak didnt like me!

That is correct, fireball is a winterboard theme, the logo is not.

I need somebody who has a 3G or 3GS, on 4.2 or higher to try this out and let me know if it works.

By the way, I've also put a "Fireball 3G icon" on there that should match well with the at&t logo.

got that working on my 3G[s], 4.3.1
