How to fix some mysterious problems.

After successfully jailbreaking 4.3.1 via restore and Redsnow I installed pkgbackup and it logged in to dropbox and showed all my backup info but when I try to hit restore it just sits there. Nothing pops up and I've reinstalled the program several times with no success. Is it just that Pkgbackup isnt compatible with 4.3.1? Any help would be appreciated!

This solution worked for me:

PKGBackup was able to find my backup on Dropbox and populated all it's menus with the correct info, but hitting the "Restore" button did nothing.

How I fixed this:

  1. [removed]
  2. [removed]
  3. Powerdown and reboot

<soapbox> Note: I do not have ANY cracked apps on my device, although I have on occasion test driven an app in the past. If you want to keep and use an app, PLEASE PAY FOR IT! :D </soapbox>

Incidentally, this also fixed a problem where I could not get over fifty of my legitimate iTunes App Store based apps to sync to the device.

Hope this helps someone! :)

P.S. FOR A MILLION DIFFERENT REASONS, DO NOT PIRATE APPS!!

Finally after a long day of troubleshooting I figured out why in my case it wasn't working. It was so simple yet didn't realize the correlation. So basically if you have 10 pages worth of apps/folders without any room for more, then pkgbackup just sits there when you try to restore. Essentially the requirement is that it needs to have space for the app icons that are restored to be placed! I felt pretty stupid as it makes complete sense but just didn't think about the two things factoring in. Best of luck to others in this endeavor!
