How to fix some mysterious problems.

I had some AVI films on my Dropbox that I've downloaded using safari downloader+ (neither the tweaks nor the films are pirated, I paid for iFile and SD+ and the movies are my own creations) and I tried to open them with iFile, but I got no picture nor sound, so I tried opening it through the downloader with VLC for iOS but that didn't do anything, so then I cut & pasted the videos in iFile to the VLC documents folder, but then that froze my VLC, so I deleted the video files from all locations, but I still have only 225MB of storage space left, and the "other" section in iTunes shows 6GB of occupied memory. Th device is an iPad 2 on iOS 7.1.2. I don't care about the films anymore, I just need to get my storage space back. Is there a way I can find the files that are clogging up my memory?

iFile moves files to a trash folder by default. Look in /var/mobile/Library/iFile/Trash/
