How to fix some mysterious problems.

For some reason on my iphone I can't unpair bluetooth devices. The forget button won't work? I found this file in ifile /var/root/Library/Preferences/ch.ringwald.btdaemon.plist

And it showed the bluetooth devices. I deleted them using property list viewer, but the devices are still there. Is there another file somewhere in ifile? I have reset all settings before and it worked, but the problem came up again? Would it have anything to do with the restoring my iphone using ipod touch backup? I press forget button, it gets clicked, but device still remains in bluetooth list. I reset all settings and they still show there. However, I turn off bluetooth and do a hard reset, and it finally let's me remove the bluetooth devices.

given that as long as the Bluetooth isn't turned on on either idevice or the one your pairing..... Whys it matter to unpair ?

Make sure you hit the "i" with the circle and have it forget the device. It will not let you Forget The Device if it is trying to connect at the time
