How to fix some mysterious problems.

I have a jailbroken iPod Touch 4G on iOS 6.1.5. The Volume up buttom is broken and is permanently firing, so each time the device is booting again the substrate safe mode is activated. It does not cause any issue when using the system beside that. Is there any way to bypass this or to reroute the going into safe mode when pressing this buttom while booting to another button? Any help would be apprecitaed.

Just a guess ... Try holding volume down whilst booting. Might cancel out the volume up
