How to fix some mysterious problems.

I finished updating my not jailbroken iPhone 5s to 7.06 a while ago and I saw that evasi0n 7.06 was released. On the README it warns me about restoring my iPhone. Am I good to jailbreak on 7.06?

Did you update using iTunes or.using settings on the device?

A report states that, as occurred with 7.0.5, the current version of evasi0n will refuse to process a phone running 7.0.6, due to a version check, but that otherwise the jailbreak exploits still work. Thus it is necessary to use a hex editor to modify the evasi0n program to change the version check string. But all this is according to this article, and cautious people may want to wait for an official update to evasi0n, or at least some confirmation that patched versions work:

So it's all good now? I'm not doing so until the morning but I wanna make sure everything is good before I restore my phone. I am on 7.0.5 as of now

I've been jailbroken on iOS 7.0.6 on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 since apple released it. Works very well
