Try a different USB cable/USB port.

I did. (With my cousin's cable and PC, with my desktop and my cable and with my laptop)

At least, can anyone tell me a way to backup and restore my device?

(29 Jan '14, 19:28) keremy keremy's gravatar image

I figured out that iFunBox detects my device from wifi, not with cable.

I think your dock port is the problem, as you've tried multiple cables and multiple computers. You can backup with iCloud, but I don't know how you'd restore. If you're going to take it in for warranty service, just do "ERASE all" in settings.

(29 Jan '14, 19:55) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

If I do erase all, what will happen to my jailbreak etc. (I know it will be deleted but will it work properly?)

(29 Jan '14, 19:57) keremy keremy's gravatar image

At a minimum the jailbreak will be gone, which is what you want if you're taking it to Apple. It may also bootloop the phone, which isn't a problem if you're taking it to Apple. If you're not taking it to Apple, obviously don't do this.

I am fickle now. If I take it to somewhere else, it obviously will break my warranty. But, I live in Turkey and there is no Apple Store here. (It is being conducted in Istanbul) If I take it to Apple, it would take so much time and it is risky though.

Try to uninstall iTunes Mobile Device and re-install iTunes, as the Protocol (iTunes Mobile Device) that communicates with the device might be broken. Uninstalling iTunes will not affect your iTunes Library.

Actually, I tried it with two different computers and cables, one was mine, one was my cousin's.

(29 Jan '14, 17:45) keremy keremy's gravatar image

do you happen to have afc2add installed on your device?

(29 Jan '14, 17:52) meteochu meteochu's gravatar image

Yes, I have afc2add. After that problem happened, I reinstalled it and problem wasn't solved.

(29 Jan '14, 18:14) keremy keremy's gravatar image

don't reinstall it. remove it.

if you want to access your device via your computer, use SSH. Download OpenSSH and change the root password (saurik has a tutorial on the Cydia Homepage)

(29 Jan '14, 18:16) meteochu meteochu's gravatar image

That's really annoying. I removed afc2add, then iTunes didn't see it, but windows did. iTools, too, didn't see it. After, I installed afc2add, rebooted device, and the problem remains. And, because iTunes doesn't see my device, I can't restore, either.

EDIT = iFunBox still can see my device

(29 Jan '14, 18:31) keremy keremy's gravatar image

Did you reboot after uninstalling afc2add?

(29 Jan '14, 19:29) meteochu meteochu's gravatar image

Of course

(29 Jan '14, 19:35) keremy keremy's gravatar image

Then ask your own question dint wake threads this old up as there's no chance you have then same circumstances. Give details like device ...iOS version ....repos and tweaks used.
