How to fix some mysterious problems.

My device: iPod 4G, iOS 6.1.3 untethered

So when I went onto cydia it told me to update some tweaks (all of them were core tweaks), and so I did update but now when I try to respring or reboot, it pops up in safe mode. what do I do? do I have to completely wipe my ipod?

Are you positive that they were all core tweaks? Do you know which ones? Cydia will allow you to uninstall tweaks while in safe mode.

Yea I'm 99% sure all 6 of them were nothing I installed.

Edit: no I can't remember what they were called and what would happen if I uninstalled a system/core tweak?

The only way to find out is probably going to be to uninstall tweaks one by one and respring after each removal until you're not left in safe-mode. I know it's not ideal. For instance, I installed an update a couple of days back for Barrel on iPhone 4 iOS 6.0.1 which left me in safe-mode. Uninstalled it and everything was fine. An update has subsequently been released to fix the issue. I've had this happen to me before so I always write down what I'm updating before applying multiple updates in Cydia.
