Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.1.3 are not jailbreakable. There is no way to downgrade from iOS 8.2 or 8.1.3 to earlier versions.
Instructions for jailbreaking iOS 8.0-8.1.2. See /r/jailbreak on Reddit, @PanguTeam, and @TaiG_jailbreak for updates.

Hi, I have a iPod touch 4G on ios 6.1.3 and a broken Home button. Is there any way i can enter DFU mode WITHOUT loosing my data / having to restore to an "ENTER_DFU" ipsw from redsn0w? Thanks.

Sometimes a hardware workaround might suffice, or an even riskier cludge or bodge that could make things even worse (there are vids about such things, and some are scary!) and getting the home button fixed is usually necessary anyway, so that's what is strongly recommended accordingly. Sorry.

Thanks IgelTeh for responding but I wanted to know If there are any programs that put your iPod into dfu mode. Also my warranty has ended, so no fixing that!

There are programs that say they will do this but they do not (they will put it in Recovery mode instead) and regarding justinred's information, ENTER_DFU should only be used if you have valid SHSH blobs (for your iDevice specifically) for an iOS that can be untethered and 6.1.3 would be tethered so is unsuitable (presently at least).

Why worry about your warranty? Many phone shops will replace your home button while you wait. Mind cost 25GBP, done in 30 minutes. And I got to see all the innards of my phone ;)

You need both buttons to enter dfu and just boot tethered. Impossible to do with a broken button.
