How to fix some mysterious problems.

I installed igotya on my iPhone 4 while on 4.1 on a trial period it worked fine but I restored my phone shortly after. I remembered that I really liked this tweak so I installed it again I was prompted to purchase because as stated before trial was expired so I did after installing I tested the app out and entered the passcode incorrectly to put it into secure mode that worked but as soon as I exited secure mode my settings icon was missing. I can still access settings through spotlight my question is can I somehow through ifile replace the settings icon? I have emailed the developer numerous times but he has been terribly useless and rude. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simplest thing to do is restore, re-jailbreak and reinstall igotya. You already know it works, so just don't test it. If someone steals your phone and guesses the code, at least they won't have 'settings.' ;)

You might be able to do it with ifile, but you never know if it screwed up something else in the process, which is likely.

I need to test it it obviously is messing up my phone and it won't send me email of picture or location so if someone steals my phone I'm screwed anyways

Oh that sucks. You'd be better off restoring it and not reinstalling igotya. You can get a free mobileme account and remotely locate and/or wipe your phone, it just doesn't take a photo.

Well lets hope noone else wastes their money on that tweak. Devs that can't offer support in a proper way do not deserve anyones money.

Just a quick note: did you try version 1.0.22 of iGotYa? the changelog says this fixes compatibility with iOS 4.2
