What is the difference between iPhone 4 GSM and the "Rev A" variant? And how do I know which I have? There are different IPSWs "Phone3,1 6.1.2 10B146 Restore.ipsw" and "iPhone3,2 6.1.2 10B146 Restore.ipsw" - that is 3,1 and 3,2 files. I want the right one to stitch !

you can also open your itunes software downloads folder ( where itunes saves it's IPSW files ) look at those file names for your model.

Models ME798 and ME799 are iPhone3,2 (GSM Rev A) and any other iPhone 4 GSM is a iPhone3,1 (and this links to additional info.).

Thanks markhack, if you'd written your f0recast reply as an answer, and your answer as a comment, I could have "acceped your answer" for your karma. Either way, f0recast told me what I needed and I downloaded the right IPSW.
