Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Pangu provides an iOS 9.0 untethered jailbreak. TaiG provides an iOS 8.4 and 8.3 untethered jailbreak.

Enter the correct password. There is no 6.1.4 for an iPod 4. You can get your 6.1.2 blobs from the iPod by using iFaith's "dump" button while it's still running 6.1.2. I would highly recommend doing this, as it will allow you to restore to 6.1.2 rather than 6.1.3.

don't know how you could really forget that. not sure if the emergency call glitch was fixed in 6.1.2

Even if it's an emergency, you still can't make a phone call on an iPod. :D

haha @spockers forgot it was an iPod

There is no way to "bypass" it. That would just defeat the object of it. Either remember it or restore.

Well, is there a way to view what the passcode is? (Maybe in the file system somewhere?)

(07 May '13, 16:25) WoolDude WoolDude's gravatar image

No lol. That would be easy to hack.

(07 May '13, 16:26) iAdam1n ♦ iAdam1n's gravatar image

So the only option is to restore and be stuck without a jailbreak?

(07 May '13, 16:26) WoolDude WoolDude's gravatar image

Also if there is no way to view the passcode somewhere hidden in the file system how does apple do it?

(07 May '13, 16:27) WoolDude WoolDude's gravatar image

Just restore. Its the only option. You can jailbreak tethered.

(07 May '13, 16:28) iAdam1n ♦ iAdam1n's gravatar image

Try to backup to your last backup that didn't had any passcode.

(07 May '13, 16:32) xpaw xpaw's gravatar image

never backed it up :(

(07 May '13, 16:34) WoolDude WoolDude's gravatar image

Well then your only option is to restore, sorry.

@WoolDude. Apple cannot read the original passcode! It is stored, but encrypted using one-way encryption. Nothing can reverse it to the original. Look-up "one-way encryption".

You could find you passcode in ifunbox

(07 May '13, 22:45) Redboy Redboy's gravatar image

@Redboy No, he could not.

(07 May '13, 22:47) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

@spockers he could look in his springboard strings right?

(07 May '13, 22:49) Redboy Redboy's gravatar image

@Redboy No. You're thinking of the "restrictions" (parental) passcode. The lockscreen passcode is encrypted.

(07 May '13, 22:59) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

Could he delete that file and then be okay?
