How to fix some mysterious problems.

So my old iPhone 3GS's lcd backlight is broken and I opened it too see if it was rusty pin connectors or the 6r8 coils. They all looked clean inside the phone so it was most likely the backlight on the LCD screen. Anyways, upon playing with the mother board, I broke that little metal plate that sticks out and connects to the side of the iPhone. I decided to just go to the apple store and get a new one but I think it's refurbished... my serial year is a 2... and I don't think they made any new 3GS's in 2012... I paid for the new one anyways since my home button was broken and the vibrate button was malfunctioning.

So I had all my SHSH blobs on my old 3GS and this one has basically nothing (only 4.1, 4.3.3, 4.3.4, and 4.3.5 which is what I think confirms it's a refurbished phone).

I am currently on 6.0 and wondering if I can get on 6.1.2 jailbreak using Evasi0n?

And if anyone can confirm whether or not my current phone is in fact refurbished.
