No. You can get 4.1 but not 6.1.2. If you have old bootrom you can do it without SHSH. Enter Pwned DFU and shift+restore to the IPSW.

@adaminsull, I wanted to share that I tried quite a few times on my old bootrom 3GS to restore to 6.1.2 through itunes after putting the phone into pwned DFU and using shift+restore but I would always get error 3194. Only when I modified my host to point to cydia then only the itunes would restore to 6.1.2 (it possibly means the blobs from cydia were used to trick the itunes). However, when I used custom firmware cooked by sn0wbreeze (without stitching blobs), the itunes restores them without any 3194. I still have not been able to understand how! Any thoughts!!

@adaminsull Why does he need old bootrom to achieve that? I have new bootrom and it is fine on 4.1.

@sandkuma002: Does that happen always (6.1.2 without blobs) or is it just for the old bootrom?

He cannot get 6.1.2 without SHSH but he could on old bootrom.

Oh, didn't see that he doesn't have saved 6.1.2

@adaminsull, any suggestions how can i get stock ipsw 6.1.2 (without jailbreak and without stitching blobs) on my old bootrom 3GS using itunes? I think using redsn0w restore for 6.1.2 will work without blobs!! The itunes restore leads to error 3194. Is it because I am already jailbroken? (as per ifaith while dumping blobs for 6.1.3, it says- my device has already 24kpwn untether applied- anything to do with that?)

If you have old bootrom, you can jailbreak 6.1.3 untethered by pointing redsn0w to 6.0 IPSW. If you want to still get 6.1.2, enter pwned DFU and restore again.

Thanks @adaminsull, 6.1.3 jailbreak was already done and working perfectly fine & untethred. But 6.1.2 is still not possible by shift+itunes (keeping the 3GS in pwned DFU), I still get error 3194, cannot solve the riddle !!

What do you see at gs.apple.com?

(02 Apr '13, 14:55) iAdam1n ♦ iAdam1n's gravatar image

gs.apple.com on my browser leads to : This page is just a placeholder....(Earlier I could manage to restore to 6.1.2 only when I added 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com in my host but later i deleted them). I want to verify the working of old bootrom 3GS which should not need blobs but I have been unsuccessful so far.

Best to stay on 6.1.3 anyway. It is possible in pwned DFU. Not sure why it did not work for you.

Thanks, 6.1.3 is definitely good, However, I have been wondering what's wrong with restoring to 6.1.2, maybe I will have to live with this mystery for some more time till I solve it but I will keep trying :)
