How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hello, About four days ago, my iPhone started lagging. I noticed that memory (in SBSettings) is as low as 29 KB. I closed all apps from the swithcher and freed-up memory and it won't go above 100 MB. My device now resprings by itself and it became a really annoying thing. I had it jailbroken with Evasi0n the day it was released and I never had any problems. I tried a full restore and rejailbreak but the problem still stands.

I'm using a 16 GB iPhone 4S on iOS 6.1.2

Here's a list of my installed packages [All of them are up to date]:

  1. Action Menu
  2. Activator
  3. AppCent
  4. AppLocker
  5. AutoProtect for iOS 6
  6. biteSMS
  7. Bridge
  8. BrightnessFix for iOS 6 (Yeah, I have that...)
  9. evasion 6.0-6.1.2 Untether
  10. FlagPaint
  11. Gremlin Framework
  12. Gremlin Plugin Pack
  13. iFile
  14. iOS 6 Weather Fix
  15. Kill Background
  16. Mobile Substrate
  17. Mobile Terminal
  18. MultiIconMover
  19. NCSettings
  20. PasswordPilot
  21. Safari Download Manager
  22. SBSettings
  23. Substrate Safe Mode
  24. SwipeSelection
  25. Torch
  26. UnlimTones
  27. YourTube for iOS 6
  28. Zephyr
  29. Zeppelin

I've had a lot more than that installed and the device was running smooth as a stock iOS. Can anyone help me? Thank you

Do you have any google app installed?

Because this guy seems to think a google app (doesn't state which one though) seemed to be the culprit in his case...

Else, didn't check thoroughly though, but at a glimpse, your apps/tweaks do not seem to be incompatible with iOS 6.x as per this list; you might wanna check by yourself though...

If still no luck, you can check with SBSettings: Click on More, then scroll and click Mobile Substrate Addons then, disable them ONE by ONE until you find the bad guy. When found, re-enable it in SBSettings and go uninstall in Cydia;

Last resort, you can start from scratch if nothing else works, by following these steps.

Hope this helps,

this guy might have been talking about YouTube when he mentioned Google about his excessive RAM usage, as YouTube is part of Google if I'm not mistaken...

Non of my tweaks is a non-iOS 6.x supported and I have already restored to factory defaults yesterday :/ I think I'll start debugging with SBSettings. Hopefully, it isn't a hardware problem....

Anyway, thank you very much, mate!

Let us know if you find the bad guy!

As for the RAM, in iOS, free RAM is wasted RAM. This is by design. iOS will free up RAM when an app needs it, otherwise iOS uses that RAM itself.

Yes but in his case, he says his phone is lagging, and RAM drops to as low as 29 Kb (say he meant Mb) which in both case is no way normal nor acceptable, even on an iOS device...

I know, I just mean generally. People get too concerned about RAM when 90% of the time it doesn't matter.

Oh I missed that! I meant "29 MB", thanks for pointing that out. It was lagging when I wrote this thread and it took me about 20 mins to write it...

Anyway, I tested my tweaks using SBSettings and apparently the bad guy was "YourTube for iOS 6". I turned it off and everything went back to normal. However, about an hour ago, there was an update for YourTube in Cydia and I'm not sure wether they fixed it or not.

Thank you very much for your help and support!
