I tried to download baseband from 6.15.0 (old BB) as the signal was dropping alot. I did redsn0w -> jailbreak -> downgrade from ipad baseband. I got an error "Error! Please reboot the device into normal operating mode then perform a clean "Slide to power off", then try redsn0w again"

You need to slect ipsw. If you are running iOS6, select 6.0 ipsw, not 6.0.1 nor 6.1 nor 6.12.

I have the same problem, selecting the 6.0 and getting the same error over and over? Why?

Hi amar611, can you please tell me how you got your phone working again. I am having the same issue as you. What do you mean restored to 6.1.2, selected 6.0 ipsw?

Yes, download 6.1.2 open redsn0w -> extras -> even more -> restore -> select 6.1.2 ipsw. Put the device in dfu mode. Once the restore is completed. Put your device in dfu mode again. open redsn0w -> extras -> select ipsw -> select 6.0 ipsw -> recovery fix.

start your device with an att sim.

Once your device is ready open evasi0n -> JB Open cydia -> install ultrasn0w

reboot your device with your sim card

Thanks Amar. At the end of this process, what was your baseband? Hopefully, I don't need to install ultrasn0w as I have bought sim unlock on ebay.

Hi Amar, I tried earlier but redsn0w does not accept 6.1.2, only 6.0, is there an update in redsn0w?

use the latest redsn0w. it worked for me. My redsn0w version is 0.9.15b3

I remember having this issue when the downgrading baseband was first available. If I remember it correctly, even though the 3gs was already on iPad baseband, I had to upgrade to iPad baseband. Then, I performed the downgrade immediately afterward. Good luck
