How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hello everybody. I'm with an iPhone 3GS with a baseband "06.15.00". It's jailbroken with the evasi0n untethered jailbreak, but I can't unlock it, even downgrade it to the semi untethered jailbreak I had on 6.0.1 version. I had unlocked my phone with the ultrasn0w fixer for 6.0.1, but now I'm with the 6.1 version and the fixer for 6.1 doesn't work. Any help or advice, please?

You'll need to downgrade from the iPad baseband. Downgrading is not risky, it's upgrading you have to be careful about. Because you're already upgraded, you don't have to worry about the risks associated.

  1. When your iPhone boots, hold the power button and 'slide to power off'
  2. Open redsn0w (run as administrator if using Windows)
  3. Click Extras -> Select ipsw
  4. Choose the 6.0 (not 6.0.1 or 6.1, even if you're on one of those versions) ipsw
  5. Choose 'yes' on the box that pops up (unless you're sure you have an old-bootrom 3GS)
  6. Click Back
  7. Click Jailbreak
  8. Select ONLY "Downgrade from iPad baseband"
  9. Follow the DFU instructions
  10. When that completes, close redsn0w

Now it's in recovery mode. :|

That happens if you don't do a 'slide to power off' before attempting to downgrade your baseband. You can get out of it by selecting the 6.0 IPSW in redsn0w, then clicking 'fix recovery'.

I restored it and I'm now on iOS 6.1.2 and I need to bypass the activation... also make a new jailbreak and unlock.

Did you restore to a custom (sn0wbreeze/ifaith) 6.1.2 or a stock (not sn0wbreeze/ifaith) 6.1.2?

Well, finally I've done what I want! Thank you very much. I'm unlocked and jailbroken untethered with evasi0n on iOS "6.1.2" with baseband "5.13.04". Yeah! Thanks again! :3

Remove the fixer and reboot. Ultrasn0w 1.2.8 unlocks 6.1 without the fixer.

Still doesn't work.

You need to reflash and downgrade baseband to 5.13 using redsn0w 9.15b3.

Isn't it the same? Both basebands are compatible. Correct me if I'm wrong.

6.15 gets corrupted after stock ipsw restore. Reflash by running install ipad baseband. Downgrade baseband to 5.13 fixes gps.

Isn't it risky to change the baseband?
