Hi there, I bought a iPhone in Ireland with no SIM card 2 months ago. Now I'm living in Malta and I can't use it cause is locked on 3 Network Ireland. I would like to know a way to unlock it and finally use my f#@* iPhone after 2 months been serving as paper holder..
iPhone 4 GSM IOS 6.1 Carrier 3 Network Ireland Firmware I don't know cause I can't open the General Settings.
Thanks in advance!
Jailbreak with redsn0w to hacktivate, then install the evasi0n untether via cydia. You will need to do Extras-> Select IPSW and choose the 6.0 (not 6.0.1 or 6.1) ipsw for your device before every single redsn0w operation (it forgets). If you don't have the 6.0 ipsw, get it here.
Alternatively, if you are on Windows you can just use sn0wbreeze. It will create a pre-jailbroken ipsw for you to restore to in pwned dfu mode. When done, you would be jailbroken, untethered and hacktivated. I believe you'd have to use the Expert mode and manually select the activate/hacktivate checkbox.
Hi, try this tip, it's a temporary solution so you can solve your problem:
Hi, I use to do this trick with my iphone 4 when I was stuck at the same screen as you, I dunno if it works with iphone 4S, but it worth a Try:
Once you slide, you'll be on the "choose country screen", Then you just have to fellow these steps
1 - Home button during 3 sec
2 - Chooze emergencies call
3 - Call 112
4 - Without exiting the call, push the On/Off button until "Off" and "Cancel" appear in the scree
5 - Click cancel
6 - click on the green band on the top of the screen
7 - Click "Cancel" the call
8 - Congratulation, you're on the springboard thanx to Symphony :D
You have to repeat these steps everytime you want to surf through the springboard and use it as an ipod...
9- Now, if you jailbreak your phone with evasi0n, you can do the tip above to access the springboard and then:
a- Launch cydia
b- Add source: Add http://repo.bingner.com as a repo in Cydia
c- Install "SAM" and "SAMPrefs"
d - Open Sam and click to enable: HACKTIVATION (or HACKTIVATE)
e- Then respring (or reboot), and you're done with the nagging welcome screen :)
