Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

evasi0n7 can jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 untethered. p0sixspwn can jailbreak iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5 untethered (see here for 6.1.6).
How to jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 (and fix problems). iOS 7.1 is not jailbreakable, except an unsupported tethered iPhone 4 jailbreak.
Restoring or updating will update your device to iOS 7.1 and remove your jailbreak. There is no way to downgrade from iOS 7.1 to 7.0.x.

I've noticed multiple boot fails after the evasi0n 0.2 upgrade reboot from cydia. I've tried to contact evasi0n at the cydia support email but it bounced. The iPhone 5, 6.1 does eventually boot on the 4-6th try.

Do not upgrade from cydia.

It seems unstable Ignore that upgrade until an official statement is made that it is safe enough.

Restore your device and re-jailbreak but then do not upgrade from cydia.

Use the compatibility spreadsheet to install the correct tweaks

ok, I almost didn't do it because everything was working great. Hopefully they know about it and will fix it. I will make due for now cause its a good 2 hours for restore+jailbreak.

The evasi0n upgrades actually improve the stability of the jailbreak. They are tested for stability before release; when they show up in Cydia, it's safe to install them.

evasi0n in general has some issues with booting though; it's not quite perfect, and the developers know about this.
