Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Question

Hey everyone

First let me state that,

I want to thank team Evad3rs for all there hard work and a simple donation( which i am donating right after this I literally just signed up lol ) still doesn't make up for all your hard work! I have been reading up on the jailbreak process and also visiting these forums for awhile (unregistered till now :) ) finally was stoked it was released! I jail broke two iPhone 4 with evasi0n literally at 12:01 eastern time when it was released LOL !!! and both still keep crashing at weather app after updates stated also I have removed app sync and still crashing :(

Any reasons or guidance?!

Also want to thank all the forum admins and users who have helped others !! And of course as always thank you to JF ( Saurik )

Some people ending up having to fully restore their devices and re-jailbreaking with the updated version of evasi0n to get the weather to work also we don't condone stealing apps so please do not install appsync again if you do re-jailbreak.

Hey !

As stated above I will no longer use app sync! ( I don't wanna contribute to piracy )

And I will try a re-jailbreak and let you know if it works

Change Cydia settings (Manage->Settings button) to Hacker, select Packages, select installed UiKit Tools, click Modify button, and then Reinstall. After reboot your weather app should work again. Of course, you should have uninstalled AppSync (or replaced it with fixed version)

Hey I have already did all the update steps (the two cydia updates that were released)as stated in my first post There is only one option as stated by evlgns and endareth but Ty anyways for your input!

Also DON'T USE APP SYNC !!! (As I just recently discovered in earlier comments :] )

just try it once again ;) I've got that situation on two iphones (4 and 3gs), and tested it about 3 times. - remove appsync (ok, ok, you've done it ;) - reboot iphone/ipad - reinstall UiKit Tools. This step actually regenerates those plists, broken by evasi0n AND appsync - reboot device immediately after that

+1 to that, keep trying. I've cured my weather app by repeatedly installing appsync, reboot, removing it, and reboot again.

0	Make sure AppSync is not installed, then try deleting `com.apple.mobile.installation.plist` and `com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore` from `\private\var\mobile\Library\Caches` and rebooting. link answered 12 Feb, 15:53 recury 31●6

Adding this repo [removed for advocating illegal activity]

And install [removed for piracy] from there, solves the Weather App problem.
