Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

evasi0n7 can jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 untethered. p0sixspwn can jailbreak iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5 untethered (see here for 6.1.6).
How to jailbreak iOS 7.0-7.0.6 (and fix problems). iOS 7.1 is not jailbreakable, except an unsupported tethered iPhone 4 jailbreak.
Restoring or updating will update your device to iOS 7.1 and remove your jailbreak. There is no way to downgrade from iOS 7.1 to 7.0.x.

That second link worked- editing the host information through terminal fixed it!

Thank you very much.

Have you ever used TinyUmbrella? If yes, edit you hosts file (C:windowsSystem32driversetc) with notepad and delete the following line:

Later try restoring again. I advise you to restore with the phone on recovery mode.

TU does it for you. So you need to go to TU's options and undo what it did. Just make sure the "set HOSTS to Cydia after exit" checkbox is not selected. And close TU completely before opening iTunes

Restore your device to factory settings, and then restore your phone from your backup on icloud or itunes. @xStarsty
