Hi, I have just downloaded and run evasi0n but after plugging in my iPad the jailbreak button is still grayed out and cannot be clicked. iTunes detects my iPad. How can I fix this?

Try restoring your device with iTunes and then seeing if evasi0n recognizes it.

My device is new, and it is using the most updated version, 6.1. Any way to get evasi0n to detect my device?

Do a hard boot on your iDevice first Open iTunes and connect your device Don't close iTunes after it recognize the device. Just minimize and run Evasi0n

Hope that it helps you

  • Using a different cable
  • Making sure you've applied an OS or iTunes updates

I get the error: error detecting device (lockdown error -2)

you need to activate it first and/or not have a passcode set

I seem to remember something similar ages ago with Absinthe which was solved by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Content and Settings then trying again. Think it was a lockdown -5 error but maybe worth a shot.
