How to fix some mysterious problems.

I am currently on iOS 6.0.2 iPhone 5, im planning on Jailbreaking on iOS 6.1 when the JB is released, should I bother downloading tinyumbrella and saving my SHSH? I do not plan on downgrading and will just update to the latest iOS (6.1.x or 6.x.x) in the future.

Thanks

You cannot save the 6.0.2 SHSH now. You are best to use redsn0w 0.9.15b3 to save SHSH as TinyUmbrella can mess up the hosts file. Go to extras>SHSH>New and give it the 6.1 IPSW and click yes to submit to cydia. This will save the SHSH for 6.1.

Ok thanks, should I do this before or after restoring to iOS 6.1? I am still on iOS 6.0.2.

So SHSH is only required to downgrade, i will not need them to restore from a jailbreak to the latest iOS? I am just currious because I have had problems restoring from jailbreaks in the past.
